Samuel J.H. Weyers
Sam is a longtime Crystal Lake resident, having moved here with his family at age 8. After he graduated from Crystal Lake South High School, Sam obtained a B.A. in History from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa (magna cum laude). In 2011, Sam graduated from The John Marshall Law School (cum laude).
Sam joined Zanck, Coen, Wright & Saladin, P.C. after spending five years as the co-chair of the litigation group at one of Lake County, Illinois’ largest law firms. He is admitted to the Illinois Bar and the General Bar of the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois.
In civil disputes, Sam has represented businesses, business owners, people who have been injured as the result of others’ negligence (for which he has helped recover millions of dollars), and both individuals and fiduciaries in litigation concerning estate planning documents and the administration thereof.
Sam also helps people create carefully crafted estate plans and assists with uncontested administrations of estates and trusts.
Sam helped establish, and is the Vice President of, the Trent Steckel Scholarship Fund, which provides future first responders with scholarships to defray educational costs. He currently serves on the Council at Light of Christ Lutheran Church in Algonquin and on Luther College’s Alumni Council.
