Wrongful Death

Generally, a wrongful death action results upon the death of an individual as the result of that individual being fatally injured due to the negligence, carelessness or recklessness of another person or entity. A wrongful death action may arise from an automobile accident, a work accident, an assault, a product defect, unsafe premises, sports related injuries, medical malpractice or some other cause. Wrongful death cases are by their very nature emotionally charged.

The loss of a loved one at the fault of another individual creates painful, uncomfortable and mixed emotions for family members and friends. It is important that the attorney litigating such a case not only be well versed in the law, the attorney should also be an individual whom the survivors find to be a good fit.

Finding the right attorney is important so that a multitude of issues can be dealt with appropriately. Issues from funeral expenses and costs of administering the estate must be dealt with.

The question many people ask is "What can I do if I have lost a loved one due to another's negligence or misbehavior?" Having a competent attorney on your side to help you navigate the often confusing and overwhelming issues that arise after a wrongful death is vitally important.
